Story
Marcelino, a Lebanese child from a middle-class family, consists of a father, a mother, and two sisters. Marcelino is known for his calmness and exceptional intelligence, having started school at the early age of two years and eight months. His teachers quickly noticed his sharp observation skills and wise behavior, as he was always among the top students in his class.
In class, he might appear quiet, but his high level of concentration and active participation always draw attention. Whenever questions were asked, Marcelino was one of the first to answer correctly, reflecting not only his academic excellence but also his eagerness to learn.
Three years ago, Marcelino’s parents took a significant step of faith. They believed in the Lord and were baptized in the name of Jesus on September 24, 2023 in Hope Evangelical Church – Zahleh. Since then, they have become a committed Christian family, with the children regularly attending Sunday school. His Sunday school teacher praised Marcelino, describing him as an intelligent child who greatly enjoys singing hymns and is deeply focused on Bible stories. His knowledge of the Bible is impressive for his age, and he can even read the scripture references by himself.
The fruits of the Spirit have begun to manifest in his life, thanks to both his upbringing at home and his involvement in Sunday school, especially in areas like love, sharing, and thinking of others. His mother shared a story where his teacher once gave him three pieces of candy. Instead of eating them right away, he waited until he got home to share them with his sisters, showing his tenderness and care for others.
Marcelino is passionate about designing games and dreams of becoming an astronaut one day. He told us how eagerly he looks forward to Sundays to attend Sunday school. He also had a wonderful time at the last church camp, where he loved the places and activities, he participated in.
Marcelino shared with us, “I can’t wait for Sundays to go to church, attend Sunday school, enjoy the hymn session, and learn new Bible stories.”
Pray for Marcelino, that he may grow in grace, wisdom, and knowledge of the Lord, and be a good example to those around him. Also, pray that God fulfills his dreams and desires.
