Sanaa’s Story

Sanaa Al-Hamdan is a Muslim woman of Sunni background, born in Idlib Governorate, Syria. She was born into a family of eight members, including five daughters, one son, and their parents. The family’s financial situation was stable, as her father worked in construction in Abu Dhabi. However, as is common in some Muslim cultures where polygamy is practiced, her father left the family to start a new married life, abandoning his wife and six children. This forced Sanaa and her siblings to work in agriculture to meet the family’s needs.

At the age of 18, Sanaa got married and gave birth to two children. Later, she was blessed with five more after escaping with her husband and children from the war in Syria to Lebanon, where they settled in Tamnin. Sanaa and her family lived in difficult financial circumstances, with her husband working day and night to provide for the family.

One day, Sanaa heard from her neighbors about a humanitarian organization that offers monthly assistance to those in need. She rushed to the organization seeking help, where the staff warmly welcomed her and invited her to attend a Bible study meeting. Sanaa accepted the invitation and was delighted by the Word of God, which touched her heart deeply. She began to enjoy the Word of God and continued to attend the meetings regularly. Eventually, she joined a discipleship group, where she committed to studying profound biblical teachings that encouraged her to prepare herself for the declaration of her faith through baptism.

Sanaa expressed her gratitude by saying, “I sincerely thank Heart for Lebanon for their love and kind treatment. I also thank those serving in the ministry who delivered the message of salvation to me. Today, I am proud to have known the Lord Jesus as my personal Savior.”

Please pray for Sanaa and her family, that the Lord may provide for their daily needs and strengthen her faith in Him, enabling her to live a peaceful and joyful life.
